Always caring to me, family and friends. I was made redundant in January 2021 and felt so low but he was there for me. Working longer hours to help and stop me stressing out due to me not being able to get another job. The best husband ever ❤

NB°C

What a guy ❤

I have had a stressful time since 2007 when I lost my mum (had already lost dad in 2002) Since then I looked after my friend & love in 2017 little knowing that he was terminally ill and died 5 weeks from moving in with him.

NB°C

We’re so sorry for your loss. Sending you our love!

Garry deserves a reward as he loves Northern Bloc ice cream.

NB°C

Garry has good taste.

I have been walking peoples dogs for them throughout the pandemic. I have a few elderly neighbours who were to afraid to go out. Entered to hopefully win a spa day which would be wonderful.

Worked tirelessly through lockdown in an extremely tough job and still continued to be the most radiant person I’ve ever met. He works for monzo as vulnerable customer specialist which became even more intense because of covid. He is a wonderful human who helps the world be a little better everyday.

She is absolutely smashing life, even with the odds against her! She has gone through hell this year, I was hospitalised at the beginning of the year and it’s one of the first times in our 9 year relationship we’ve been apart, but she held my hand and supported me through it, and helps me fight my mental illness every day. She has almost lost her twin sister to suicide several times this year already which would break anyone, but she gets up and keeps going and gives her the support she needs. She also got onto the clinical psychology doctorate on her first ever time applying, which is unheard off! I can’t believe she still smashes life with all of this going on, and gives everyone around her the love they need too.

NB°C

Sending all our love- you’re both amazing!

NB°C Fan

Life has been so tough recently but I’ve still got up and faced every day. After being hospitalised at the beginning of the year I didn’t think I would ever be ok again, but with so much hard work I am! I attend therapy every week even though it’s hard, and I fight my eating disorder and try with recover even when it feels like the most impossible thing in the world.

NB°C

Stay strong 🖤

This is for my boyfriend who worked throughout the entire pandemic and still hasn’t had a week off. I was there to witness all the happy and all the sad and my god does he deserve this. I love him to bits and I’m sure he loves me but I know he loves your ice cream more hahaha. I don’t get to see him very much with his hours but if we got even one movie night this month, ice cream would definitely make it better❤️

NB°C

We can’t blame your boyfriend, our ice cream is delicious!

My amazing Mum is 87 years old. Because of the pandemic like many elderly people she has had to spend much of the last year alone. Despite this she has remained unfailingly cheerful and positive and has kept the rest of the family going. She is always there for us and is a fantastic Nanny to my 5 year old twins who adore her. She has made so many sacrifices for us and it would be lovely to surprise her with this lovely treat

Throughout the pandemic I’ve looked after my 87 year old Mum, home schooled my very lively 5 year twins and remained (relatively) sane whilst doing so.

NB°C

You’re a hero!

Chris is my boyfriend and is a chef. During the pandemic he went to work in a warehouse and really worried about the hospitality industry and his future within it. He was my rock through out the pandemic and worked really hard to get back in the kitchen. He really deserves a good treat and a little surprise.

NB°C

We’re so glad hospitality is opening back up!

NB°C Fan

They have throughout the pandemic helped everyone they could and will always go the extra mile to assist others. A real ray of sunshine during such a difficult time.

NB°C

More people like this please 🙌

He has worked all the way through the pandemic. He’s not a Doctor or a Nurse or a supermarket worker. He is a metro Tyne and Wear Metro driver. I am classed as vulnerable so he had to shower before he came anywhere near me. And take extra precautions to keep.me safe. He had to do all the shopping and everything else I couldn’t do. He deserves a bit of pampering.

Just prior to the first lock down Alison was going through a divorce from her husband who she lived with in Holland. She came back to the UK to look for a new home to start her life again here with her daughter who was 8. During their visit her dad had a massive heart attack and sadly passed away.  The divorce proceedings continued, Alison moved herself & her daughter into her mums and started to look for work. She’s been in the UK almost 2yrs now, she’s got a job, a home (which she is gradually doing up) her daughters settled into her UK school and Alison and Clara have got used to being a family of 2 not 3.she’s been through a lot in a short period of time but she is never without a smile on her face. Her strength is amazing. She is 50 in July it would be great to see her get a treat

We’ve been sheilding our severely disabled son who is life limited, it’s been very challenging with no external support and limited sleep. My husband Karl has remained up beat throughout, been my rock and the most amazing father. He definitely deserves a break from it all, this would be great. Thank you so much for the chance to enter 🤞 🤞

Michael, my husband has been an absolute hero during lockdown especially dealing with my mental health issues, acknowledging them, addressing them and looking after me at the same time. He is truly overwhelmed but has been holding up the fort. This would be a lovely acknowledgement for that

NB°C

Michael, you are brilliant. Sending you both love 🖤

Having two children with additional needs is so very rewarding but it can also be challenging. The last year has been draining for me in particular and I would love a day out to refresh and recover so that I can continue to support my kids in the best way possible!

NB°C

We definitely all need to take some time for ourselves every now and then 🖤

Fred really deserves a reward. He’s been by my side the last four years while I’ve really struggled with my anxiety, job uncertainty and the loss of my beloved grandma.
Last Thursday he proposed on our 4 year anniversary! This would be the perfect way to say thank you for everything.

NB°C

We’re sorry to hear you have been through so much but a big congratulations on the proposal!

My sister has had to look after her 3 feral boys during the pandemic – enough said!!! (plus my nephews would think I’m the best auntie ever if I managed to win them a year of ice-cream!)

FERAL 🤣

I’m so uber proud of him for following his dream of becoming an ambulance driver after being made redundant at the beginning of the pandemic. It hasn’t always been easy but he’s kept at it and taken opportunities when they’ve arisen. He thinks if himself as unlucky in life (despite having me!) so I’d like to try and change that. Thank you for the opportunity ❤️

NB°C

He’s definitely lucky to have someone like you nominating him!

Our granddaughter Laura Stevenson is an English teacher who  has tirelessly worked through the covid at school and on line despite many pupils being off with the virus.  She also had her 2yr old son to look after AND she loves ice cream!

Justin deserves this reward because (and I’m incredibly embarrassed to say this), despite being Leeds born and bred, he’s NEVER heard of Northern Bloc, nor tasted your delicious offerings.  He’s getting on a bit too so this astonishes me… And he has ice-cream everyday. I know, I know, the shame.

In addition, he’s spent the past year trying to study for his masters and overcome some personal battles to keep going. He’s also smashed alcohol and drug issues so for me, this would make his day. And mine too, as his friend.

she has had it tough during lockdown. My sister lives in an assisted living complex for older people so has had to follow extra stringent rules. My best friend of 14 years is amazing and deserves a reward because not only has she been working through the pandemic in a pharmacy and now for the NHS, she has been doing so whilst battling Crohns Disease and having to shield at certain points.

She has been hospitalised multiple times since the age of 21 and she has never let it stop her and has kept persevering with her career and is on the way to becoming a qualified pharmacy technician at St James hospital. She does all of this whilst helping to support her family and I’m so proud of her.

I deserve to win this prize as not only have I been put onto Furlough for months but I’ve had to deal with both my daughters suffering from severe mental illness. It has been extremely hard having to deal with all these emotional upsets. So it would be lovely having this win to cheer me up.

Marjorie set up a Charity called Friends for You in Chorley . The aim of the charity is to help combat loneliness. She now has well over 150 volunteers who visit people at home for one hour a week. At the moment we are phoning people due to COVID-19. I think Marjorie deserves this award. I am a volunteer and think the work she does is wonderful

NB°C

We love this idea! Well done Marjorie!

Id love to nominate Paul because he helped me through the darkest days of my life.

10.years ago I passed out at home and had a sudden cardiac arrest . I was swiftly taken to hospital where I had another and died for 7 1/2 minutes. I was then placed in a coma for three days.

I was given a ICD implantable cardiac defibrillator which will correct my heart rhythm.

It fired 108. 108 times my body went in to ventricular fibrillation. All these times making me very unhappy emotionally and scared for my own future.

This guy helped me through it all through all the dark days . He deserves a treat

NB°C

Oh my. Sending you both our love 🖤

During the lockdown, Anastasia has been continuing to support in hospitals and GPs during her years as a student medic. She has worked countless hours voluntarily to support and help others and always has a smile doing it!

I’m so proud of her and all that she’s done, it’d be fantastic to offer her a surprise as I know she’s made many sacrifices to do her work! I can’t wait to visit her next month as it’s been over 15 months since I last saw her in person!

I never put myself up for anything but I think I deserve a treat and a bit of excitement.
last year I isolated with my lovely husband who was shielding and never went out apart from walking our little dog dolly. Sadly at the end of September my husband died since which time I still have been abiding by the rules and just walking Dolly. I’m desperate to see my grandchildren in Holland but atm not allowed.
I volunteer as a Samaritan and returned to do my weekly stint after David died.
Thank you for considering me for a bit of excitement oooh and ice cream. It would be so welcome

She has made me smile throughout the pandemic! I work for the nhs and as you can imagine it’s not been a great time for us! Sharon has always “checked in” with me and made me laugh even when I was at my lowest, even sending gifts to cheer me up. I know it hasn’t been easy for her either losing her father and not being able to see her children due to restrictions but this hasn’t stopped her thinking of others.  I would absolutely love to do something in return for her!

I work really hard as a youthworker, and have tried throughout the pandemic to continue to engage the young people in a creative way within the limitations and rules so that as a team we can still respond to their mental health needs and provide them with  meaningful and rewarding activities. Many of them have really struggled over the last year. I have worked to support the staff I manage and make sure they are doing OK. And then after working with teenagers all day every day I come home to the demands of my own two teenagers!!!

Even though she can’t sing in tune.
She’s there for the kids day or night.
Her legendary nagging, makes things alright.
She puts up with our terrible jokes and snores.
She also helps us with our chores.
She deserves a treat day,
To stop her from going grey.

Ben (my fiancée) is the most positive person I know! He’s a keen road cyclist and a couple of years ago he had a crash, with his face (and teeth!) taking the impact. He remained positive throughout his recovery, and was back on the bike within three weeks. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid (and eventually cancel it for the time being), but he was the best lockdown buddy and I can’t wait to be his wife one day!
